I also really enjoyed working on Alasko’s complete product catalog, a challenging project that deepened my understanding of their brand identity and how to showcase it effectively.
5. Why did you apply for this position with us?
I was drawn to this role because it offers a broad range of responsibilities, spanning both print and digital design. I am highly motivated and ready to apply my acquired skills to this new field.

My role involved extensive communication, particularly with Congolese government institutions, to ensure project alignment.
In Algeria, I served as an interpreter for a bilateral project, facilitating communication and managing documentation throughout the process. Lastly, in Côte d’Ivoire, as a project coordinator, I organized seminars, coordinated stakeholder efforts, and actively participated in managing cooperation projects. These experiences allowed me to develop essential skills in project management, intercultural communication, and coordination with diverse stakeholders.
17. If hired, how do you plan to approach this role and your responsibilities?
If I am hired, my first priority would be to fully understand the specific needs of the company and the real estate sector while immersing myself in the company culture. I would start by familiarizing myself with ongoing projects and team objectives, particularly the tools used for print and digital marketing, such as advertisements, brochures, and visuals for social media. I would ensure close collaboration with team members to deliver each project on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
Next, I would leverage my project management skills to optimize workflows, considering deadlines and priorities, and strive to bring creative ideas based on current trends. Using tools like Asana, I would proactively coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials are produced and delivered on time. My goal is to make a significant contribution from the outset, creating impactful visuals aligned with brand guidelines and supporting the team in achieving its objectives.
18. Where do you see yourself in three years?
In three years, I envision myself as a versatile designer with expertise that goes beyond graphic design alone. I aim to deepen my skills in branding, digital design, and packaging while integrating my passions for photography and video into my projects. These hobbies, which I pursue self-taught, allow me to approach design from a more comprehensive perspective, adding a multimedia dimension to my creations.
I believe this versatility will enable me to provide creative solutions tailored to the company's needs and explore multimedia projects, incorporating various formats to enrich visuals. By refining my mastery of these techniques, I aim to contribute to project success and anticipate new trends and opportunities in an ever-evolving environment.

This mindset has always helped me handle multiple projects simultaneously and work more efficiently.

21. Do you have experience with hybrid work?
Yes, I have experience with hybrid work. During the pandemic, I worked remotely in the Republic of Congo, which helped me adapt to this working model. Later, during my graphic design internship at a marketing agency, I discovered that the hybrid model suited me particularly well. It allowed me to strike a good balance between the focus and independence of remote work and staying connected and collaborative with the team in person.
22. What motivated you to change careers to become a graphic designer?
I have always been passionate about problem-solving and communication. While working in project management, I realized I was drawn to how design can convey ideas creatively and powerfully. Graphic design allowed me to combine my interest in aesthetics and strategy, and I feel fulfilled when creating visuals that captivate and inspire others.
23. What’s your design process?
I’d say my design process has three steps: Research, Exploration, and Iteration.
- Research is about looking both inside and outside. Internally, I check what’s already working within the company, and externally, I study competitors—how they solve similar design problems. This includes details like font choices, colors, and overall style.
- Exploration is where I create different versions of the design and share them with the team or stakeholders to gather feedback.
- Iteration is about reviewing the options, getting feedback, and refining the design until we land on the best solution.
24. Can you walk me through your approach to managing a design project?
I focus on staying organized and maintaining clear communication throughout the project. My approach involves three main steps: planning, executing, and reviewing.
- Planning: At the start of a project, I break down the tasks into smaller, manageable steps using tools like Notion. This helps me prioritize effectively and set realistic deadlines.
- Executing: During execution, I focus on tracking progress and ensuring consistency in design. I frequently check in with team members and provide updates to ensure alignment.
- Reviewing: Once the project is complete, I make it a point to review the outcomes with the team, discussing what worked well and what could be improved for future projects.
25. What do you know about our company and brand identity?
OO is a real estate company focused on creating environments that improve the quality of life for employees, partners, tenants, and communities. I really like your values of integrity, ambition, and community spirit.
It’s inspiring to see how you treat people like family and focus on creating caring environments. I also admire your belief that ambition drives change and how you bring people together to create positive impact. These values match well with my own approach to work.
26. What are your salary expectations?
In my previous interview, I mentioned that a rate above 00 per hour would be ideal. However, after considering factors such as commuting and the cost of living, I believe a minimum rate of 00 per hour would be more realistic for me. Of course, I am open to discussing the details and adjusting based on the overall compensation package and responsibilities of the role.
27. What's more important to you, speed or quality?
Both are important to me, but I believe the right balance depends on the project’s needs. In some cases, meeting deadlines quickly is crucial, and I focus on delivering a good solution within that time frame. However, I always ensure that quality is not compromised, as I believe long-term success comes from delivering high-quality results. I strive to find a balance between both by prioritizing tasks and managing my time effectively.
28. In what capacity have you worked with non-designers, marketing teams, teams outside of marketing, etc?
Although I am relatively new to design, my previous roles have given me significant experience in cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- As a researcher, I coordinated with teams in Korea and government agencies in Congo, ensuring smooth communication across different stakeholders.
- In my role as an interpreter at a construction site, I was responsible for facilitating communication between various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and local officials, ensuring that all parties were aligned.
- Additionally, as an international cooperation program coordinator, I worked with diverse teams and organizations to manage programs and align goals across borders.
These experiences have equipped me with strong communication and collaboration skills, which I believe are essential for successful teamwork in design projects.
29. What is your design skill?
I have a strong foundation in clean, simple, and minimalist design, which I find to be both timeless and effective in communicating ideas clearly. In terms of skills, I’m proficient in design software such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator, and I have a keen eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
While I have traditionally gravitated toward neutral color palettes for their elegance and versatility, recently I’ve developed an interest in more vibrant, bold colors. I’m experimenting with incorporating these into my designs, as I find that they add energy and creativity while still maintaining a refined aesthetic.
30. Is there any sort of project that you appreciate taking the most?
Personally, I really enjoy redesigning movie posters or book covers. Although I haven't had the opportunity to work on such projects professionally yet, I find it to be a creative and exciting challenge. I love exploring different ways to visually capture the essence of a story or theme through design. Additionally, I have a strong passion for packaging design, which is why I've included several examples of it in my portfolio. I find packaging to be a great way to combine creativity and functionality, and I enjoy the challenge of making products stand out while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
31. Describe your ideal work environment and how you collaborate with teams.
My ideal work environment is one where clear and transparent communication is a priority. I believe that effective communication is key to successful collaboration. I enjoy working in a team where everyone shares their ideas openly, and where expectations and goals are clearly defined from the start. This ensures that everyone is aligned, and the project progresses smoothly.
32. What do you enjoy most and least about being a designer?
My favorite part of being a designer is the creative process—turning ideas into visual solutions. I enjoy experimenting with styles and techniques. My least favorite part is dealing with many revisions or changes late in the process, but I understand it's part of the job and try to stay flexible to achieve the best result.
33. How do you handle receiving feedback on your designs?
I truly value feedback as an essential part of my growth. I see it as an opportunity to learn and improve my skills. When I receive feedback, I make sure to understand the reasoning behind it by asking for clarification if needed. I then assess how I can apply the feedback to strengthen my design and align it with the project's goals. Rather than taking it personally, I focus on how it can lead to a better result. I am always open to constructive criticism, as it helps me refine my abilities and develop as a designer.
34. How do you handle multiple urgent projects with tight deadlines?
When managing multiple urgent projects, I prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance. I use tools like Notion to stay organized and break tasks into smaller steps. I communicate clearly with the team to ensure everyone is aligned, and I ask for support or delegate when necessary to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
